PANELIA is the moniker of Indian producer Jay Pei, marking a transformative chapter in his decade-long journey through music. Born in Gondal, Gujarat, Jay’s passion for music was ignited in his father’s music store, where early experiments with sound design shaped his future.

Overcoming significant challenges—including minimal local resources and financial constraints—Jay carved out a path to become a rising force in India’s left-field electronic music scene.

Drawing inspiration from pioneers like Burial and Floating Points, he honed his craft in New Delhi, immersing himself in underground subcultures and refining his distinct blend of electronica, breaks, and jungle.

PANELIA’s 2024 debut album, Nothing And All At Once was crafted in his New Delhi studio, a journey of textured soundscapes, left-field rhythms, and cinematic flourishes, reflecting his return to authenticity and creative self-expression.
