Berlin: The Safety Guide
People of all ages and backgrounds are way more attentive to their surroundings nowadays, welcoming and protective of others, and on high alert and helpful when they catch a glimpse of foul play, usually in strong solidarity with the working class and the systemically oppressed: "For women especially, things have improved. And as a visitor, you don’t have all that much to worry about anyways, because you’ll most likely trail the paths of or, better, with people of your own extended bubble", my here-born-and-raised source concludes.
Although a far cry from flawless, Berlin is not unlike other major European cities: be curious, be polite, but also be wary of your environment, secure your belongings, and don’t wander or force yourself onto or into establishments or situations too far off the beaten path plainly for the sake of voyeurism. Stick to what you and/or your companion(s) are familiar (enough) with, go with the flow, and you’ll be fine.
