If you’re a food enthusiast and appreciate the artistry in Chef’s Table, then Food on the Edge is the festival you've been waiting for.
This two-day food symposium brings together a network of leading international chefs, set against the backdrop of Galway City on the enchanting Wild Atlantic Way.
Set to return this October, Food on the Edge is a showcase of gastronomic brilliance from all corners of the world, inviting attendees to embark on a culinary journey to reimagine the future of food through the lens of industry pioneers. Approximately 50 chefs are chosen for their innovation and influence on today’s food culture. Each speaker talks for 15 minutes on the cultural, social, environmental and educational aspects of food. Each talk is designed to challenge our perspective on food, our connection to it and explore how we can make the industry better on both a local and global scale.
Whilst the underlying narrative always points to the future of food, last year's theme was storytelling. Highlights from last year included a discussion on the application of fermentation in closed loop systems; and Douglas McMaster (Silo) who discussed his zero-waste concept restaurant, honing in on the challenges and his solutions.

Food on the Edge takes place in Ireland on 21-22 October 2024. Details of the exact location is yet to be announced.

Price
The two-day super early bird ticket is now available for €225. This comprehensive ticket grants attendees access to all speaker talks, provided lunches, engaging masterclasses and entrance to both the producer food village and the FOTE bookstore presented in collaboration with Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop. Additionally, attendees have the opportunity to participate in speaker book signings, adding a personal touch to the symposium experience. Transport
If arriving from abroad, Shannon and Dublin Airports are accessible, connected to Galway by train services. The city's walkable layout and bike-friendly streets make walking and cycling popular choices. Taxis, rideshares and public buses, operated by Bus Éireann, are convenient for local travel.
