London's DIY Creative Scene with NiNE8
"West London has really unique and strong cultural heritage, first generation migrants came from all over the world to settle here, specifically the Caribbean community or the Portuguese on Golborne Road. Because of that you grow up learning all different kinds of cultures and speaking each others languages. "
Trippin x New Era presents My City, My New Era, a series of films that offer a unique insight into the streets and subcultures of London, Paris and Berlin through the eyes of our local creative community.
First stop we touch down to the streets of West London with DIY art and music collective Nine8. What began as a small group of friends creating music, cover art and clothes for each other, grew into a network of like minded creative artists. Utilising their talent to collaborate and promote each other's work in every way possible, Nine8 works as a community of young DIY artists coming together to develop a scene of underground art, music and fashion.
The group met in West London – an area that’s culturally informed and influenced their lives. Founders Lava La Rue and LORENZORSV invite us into the studio and beyond, introducing the streets and subcultures that have shaped them and their artistry.

This is the new found base for the collective, it’s where they meet, collaborate and create. The crew began as a small group of friends creating music, cover art and clothes for each other, grew into a network of like minded creative artists. They always draw on each others talent to collaborate on new content and new ideas.
Golborne Road
West London has always been a meeting point for the collective, its where they met and formed Nine 8. They are fiercely proud to call West London their home and credit the area for shaping them into the individuals they are today.
