NADA Miami
Launched in 2003, NADA Miami platforms new voices in contemporary art, and has evolved from a young, emerging fair to an established entity feeding the future of visual culture.
Chosen for: Innovation.
With collaboration and connection at its core, The New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) was founded in the wake of the emerging gallery scene in New York and beyond, in a bid to find a way of working together and supporting each other. As the not-for-profit organisation grew, so did the demand for a fair, and NADA Miami was born.
Rather than aligning itself with the art world, its founders connect to the word “alliance”, and are committed to fostering a new form of allyship in a creative context. The New Art Dealers Alliance may be proposing a new way of consuming and collaborating when it comes to art, but there’s nothing novel about the concept; the way we exhibit and sell art has run its course and is in need of innovation. NADA’s work has pushed the industry forward on two fronts: firstly, by making contemporary art more accessible to the public, and secondly, by creating a wealth of opportunities aimed at cultivating rising artists, curators and galleries. The organisation’s work presents a viable alternative to the constant tug of war between artist and gallery, and NADA Miami is the perfect example of what that might look like. 2023 marks the 21st edition of the art fair that will take place just north of Downtown Miami.
NADA Miami typically runs from November to December. Dates are yet to be announced.
