Turner prize winning, Wirral-born artist Mark Leckey broke out in 1999 with his found footage work 'Fiorucci made me hardcore', which compiles tapes of the suburban dance scenes, from 1970s disco, 1980s northern soul, to 1990s rave. While must of his work hinges on looking back, he contends his not one for nostalgia, and prefers living in the now.

In the eleventh episode of Trippin With, Mark reveals his admiration for contemporary culture, a time where Scouse rap is one of the reigning subcultures, and London venues like MOT, Ormside and Spanners are taking a more immersive approach to the the textures of sound, rather than the pure danceable beats of yesteryear.
