Trippin With: Episode Nine with Namesenda

Namesenda really rates her home city, Stockholm. The nightlife could be better, and there's no good Ugandan food spots, but the food, the style, the vibes? It's all in the Swedish capital.

The electro-pop star's debut high-energy debut Limbo, sees radiant synths cloak jittery beats, all enveloped by the singer's assured delivery and coy lyricism. It paints a story, and takes you somewhere: and that somewhere, she tells us, is Miami. "I was dreaming of it a lot when I was writing this album," she tells us on the ninth episode of Trippin With.

While she may dream of Miami, a place she's never been - but inspired by some Bad Boys movie viewing - the city she most firmly loves is closer to home in Stockholm. Formerly signed to the ultra-hype hyperpop label PC Music, Namasenda's current home is at the cult indy Stockholm label YEAR0001. She's realised you don't need to go to LA to follow your dreams - and that there's plenty to be found when you stick closer to home.
