Trippin With: Episode Ten with Alice Bloomfield

Share

Alice Bloomfield's work is shaped by the weird, the unruly. Her figurative illustrations often drip with distortion, what she has described as 'sleazy, perturbing and opulent'. While she finds inspiration in nature's most creepy, more exotic beings - praying mantis to Venus flytraps - it is South London that she's stuck to for the home base of her creative work.

In the tenth episode of Trippin With, Alice confesses to Ethan that she goes out in London 'a bit too much': you'll most likely find her in the Bermondsey Triangle: Avalon Cafe, Venue MOT and Ormside. Hopefully she won't unwittingly be snogging someone with a cold sore, though. Below she shares her thoughts on sexual responsibility, how to bag exhibitions abroad and why Fabric is overrated and over-patrolled.
