Canada-based R&B singer Ebhoni shares some of her favourite Black-owned businesses in Toronto, Ontario.

From wig shops to Caribbean takeaways, her guide highlights how abundant Black culture is in her city. “The Black community in Toronto is rich in culture! You honestly get a whole experience while dealing with different Black-owned businesses,” she says, “and that's what I love most about it.”

Canada’s largest Black-owned beauty supply store - plus the owner is female!! They have literally everything you need and I mean EVERYTHING!! And the owner Zhorrah is THE sweetest person you’ll ever meet.

Located on the east side of the city, I will happily deal with the crazy traffic in Toronto and get me some Chris Jerk. My favs are Jerk Chicken Shawarma or the Jerk Poutine. I will recommend getting there before 2 because they’re food will sell out quick!!

Is the best place to go especially after a good party, this is the spot!! It’s like your Dad, Uncle or Grandpa was cooking. The restaurant smells like my Grandma’s kitchen on a Sunday. I usually will get their Ox-tail but will always switch it up for a nice soup when it’s cold.
