Dar Disku

In this nostalgic port town, you'll immediately feel the community's strong sense of pride for Bahraini heritage and culture. Dar Disku epitomises this in every way. As a newly-founded, UK-based record label drawing music from across the MENA region, the collective have become integral to the thrilling new awakening of the underground music scene in the Middle East. Launched by local DJs, Mazen Almaskati and Vish Mhatre, the duo aims to revive gems that were once hidden amid the region’s conservative regime through their crate-digging voyages around Arabia. Scroll down to see the duo's favourite spots around Manama for crate-digging and plate clearing...

Has some great record/cassette shops. Perfect for finding some old school Middle Eastern heaters - mainly 90s hits, Arabian disco and pop tapes

A new restaurant set up by one of our close friends and extremely talented chefs, Tala Bashmi. Brings Bahraini food to fine dining.

Go during sunset and the view is incredible
