Bali’s spiritual appeal has attracted many Western admirers, creating an intersection between ancient traditions and modern wellness practices. While this has fostered many genuine spaces for healing and enlightenment, it’s important to tread carefully and avoid the commodification of such sacred spirituality.

Potato Head prides itself on being more than a tourist destination–it’s community that shares and respects this spiritual connection. Wellness activities and meditations are based on the Balinese philosophy of embracing both peace and pleasure to find natural inner balance.

This guide is curated by longtime Potato Head collaborator Fa’ Pawaka a multi-disciplinary artist and self-proclaimed wellness alchemist who specialises in auditory spiritual experiences. She recommends seeking out locally-owned and reputable spaces. “Personal recommendations from trusted sources can be invaluable. Authentic places often have a deep respect for Balinese traditions and employ local practitioners,” she says.
