CPH:DOX
Since its establishment in 2003, CPH:DOX (the Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival) has evolved into one of Europe’s largest events of its kind.
Taking place every year in Denmark's capital, the festival places a distinct emphasis on the intersection of art, science and society. For film enthusiasts, this festival is a must-attend, featuring a curated programme from over 100,000 submissions annually; combining film premieres with debates, artist talks, events and masterclasses to create a platform for thoughtful reflection and open dialogue on social issues.
In previous years, CPH:DOX has showcased a diverse array of talent in film, including The Flag by experimental filmmaker Joseph Paris, addressing the issue of Islamophobia in France, and The Last Year of Darkness – a documentary by Ben Mullinkosson exploring Chengdu's thriving party scene.
Copenhagen is accessible and well-connected, rich in historic charm and modern elegance. We recommend allocating time during the festival to explore the city's thriving arts and culture scene.
CPH:DOX is one of the finalists for Trippin 50, a cultural calendar featuring the best events around the world. Check out the Trippin 50 hub here.
