FAQs

I have the map link, but it’s not opening in my Google Maps app. What should I do?

Make sure you have the Google Maps app installed. When you click on the link, a pop-up that says ‘open in an external browser’ should open (if not, you can find it when you navigate to the three dots at the top of the window). Click to open Google Maps in the app. If the link still opens within the Instagram app, try copying it manually and pasting it into a Chrome browser. From there, the Google Maps app should open properly.

What does each icon mean?

The map has four main pillars:

Events & Exhibitions — rectangular frame symbol

Fairs – tent symbol

Food & Drink – cutlery symbol

Nightlife – cocktail and musical note symbol

I’m only interested in a few of the categories, not all of them. Can I select which ones I want to see?

Yes. Click on the ‘Legend’ section of the map to toggle categories on or off.

When I open Google Maps, I see all my existing saved spots in Miami. Can I only see the Miami Week Art Map?

Unfortunately, we are limited to what Google Maps allows. You can either sign out of the Google account that has your existing saved spaces, switch accounts, or use the map via a browser for a cleaner experience.

Can I save the map anywhere?

Keep the map link handy. If you close Google Maps, the Art Week map won’t automatically appear next time—you’ll need to click the link again to reopen it.
