Inota
Inota is Hungary’s newest audiovisual festival, unfolding at the (no longer operational but still monumental) Inota thermal power plant near Lake Balaton, just an hour by train from Budapest.
The joint initiative, in collaboration with Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture, debuted last year and for four days transformed this vast industrial space with forward-thinking electronic music, light installations and captivating visual art exhibitions. The festival not only hosts an array of international artists in this abandoned setting but also spotlights and uplifts Budapest's growing creative underground scene.
Inota is one of the finalists for Trippin 50, a cultural calendar featuring the best events around the world. Check out the Trippin 50 hub here.
