Ghanaian-British singer has throughout his career collaborated with African artists and musicians like Mr Eazi. In his guide for us, the rapper and singer-songwriter Eugy shares his favourite spots around the city to go clubbing, meet with friends and have the best Banku and Okro.

The capital city serves as the undisputed epicentre of youth culture in Ghana, the location of its first skate park and the birthplace of the nation's premier streetwear brand Free The Youth. Art schools such as the Ghanatta College of Art and Design are producing highly skilled art practitioners in the city while exhibition spaces like Gallery 1957 are providing the infrastructure for them to flourish. The bustling city of Accra is close to the heart of producer and DJ, Juls. Though born and raised predominately in London, Juls' pride for his mother country, Ghana, is strongly conveyed through in his genre-blending beats. His pioneering sounds and collaborations with artists like WizKid, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, and international artists like GoldLink and Masego has helped push Afrobeats out of the continent and into the international sphere.

Read below to see Juls' favourite spots to vibe, eat and party in Accra - though he warns you that "65% of people aren't built" for Ghana's nightlife scene.

This became my favourite spot over the Christmas holidays in Accra. I probably went there at least 2-3 times a week during my stay. It's got a really nice vibe. The pork chops are great, and the setting is perfect. The night could go either way; chilled evening with the gang or a proper turn-up. Friday nights are the best!

You can't go to Accra and not go to Bloom bar! It's impossible. Bloom Bar is one of the most popping spots in Accra. The place is always packed, so you always have to book a spot in advance. Service is impeccable and both the food and drink is top-notch. Perfect party vibe with amazing DJs. Special shout to the DJs: iPhone DJ, Bruce and DJ Baylor.

This restaurant was another favourite spot for me over the Christmas holidays. I had an amazing experience. Everyone should try their sirloin steak and butter chunk fries with their special Brasa sauce!

Another favourite spot of mine but chale you must be ready to spend! Mandem - if you want to impress that special lady, this is the place! A premier rooftop venue that overlooks the city. Great entertainment and very chilled. The cocktails are great as well. Try the frozen pineapple mojito.

Front Back is a member-only spot but the vibes are super dope. They may let you in every once in a while. The music is proper! They have some very cool curated events like “Amapiano and Brunch” and a few other events. Sunday is the best evening to go!

Great spot for beach lovers with a view. Very luxurious with a chilled vibe. Again, Sunday's are the best at Sandbox.

Kozo has a very dope restaurant and bar that combines stylish ambience, Asian tropical decor, and Pan Asian cuisine to present a new yet exciting dining and social experience. Great music and excellent food.

Purple Pub is the best local bar in Accra. Their drinks are not for the faint-hearted though. Try the five fingers drink and meet your maker!

The Woods is one of my most favourite spots in Accra. I've had a few parties there myself! The best days are Wednesdays, where they have live events and showcases the new talent in the city!

It's relatively new but has a fantastic setting and some great drinks. I would recommend going on a Thursday!

Go on a Friday or Saturday if you like to be in the hustle and bustle and like crowds, but if you're chill and want a great night with a great atmosphere go after work. Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday, at about 6 – 9 pm and just have a drink and chill out.

A little hole in the wall spot with a rooftop, they do sick Thai food. If you go there ask for everything extra spicy, it's sick.

It’s a stretch of tiny alcohol kiosks, there’s one dude who has a kiosk and he had a couch outside and people just post up on the couch. Order a bunch of local shots.

Go drink at the republic bar, tell them Amaarae sent you.

For Accra born-and-raised singer King Promise, it's hard to pinpoint what exactly is his favourite thing about Ghana. "There are a lot of things I could say, but definitely our food, our music, our culture, nightlife & just the peace & tranquility!" His music has contributed to the Ghanaian music and nightlife scene over the years and his collaborations with fellow Ghanaians like Headie One has helped usher new audiences towards African sounds.

As a fashion fan, King Promise has noticed the raw talent coming out of the country in recent years, with the creative and fashion scene "popping off right now with a lot of young creatives doing dope stuff. Streetwear culture is big in Ghana & the new crop of talented designers are killing it at the moment." In King Promise's guide, he spotlights the innovative brands to keep an eye out for.
