As a self-proclaimed ‘African nomad’, Floyd Lavine was born and raised in South Africa's Cape Town and is currently based in Berlin. Stints in London and his adopted hometown of Berlin have helped him to find his sound, which he's described as Afrofuturistic techno funk. The producer was a founding member of the RISE crew in Berlin between 2015-2018, and now runs his own imprint Afrikan Tales.
The artist has made his Innervisions debut with 'Blackalicious', which features on the label's 'Secret Weapons Part 15' compilation. The track is also Floyd's first link-up with respected Nigerian neo soul artist Wayne Snow, who features on vocals.
