LOAD Show Us Berlin's Best Run Routes
Berlin has no shortage of ways to get around. Trams, metros, buses, bikes, scooters, taxis - the German capital has virtually every mode of transport on offer. But the best way to truly see the city isn’t by sitting in traffic or joining the underground rush. It’s by running. Set your pace and find hidden corners, take in history, and enjoy the rivers and parks.
LOAD is a running club that unites runners of different levels through a range of routes: from shorter 7km Monday runs and outdoor gravel tracks to long-distance routes. "The running culture has steadily grown in Berlin, and there is a genuine interest in the sport. All you need is a comfortable pair of running shoes and the motivation to move," says Maurice Pehle, LOAD's founding member.
A diverse, inclusive, high-energy community, LOAD is committed to support one another to achieve their respective goals, with a warm and welcoming approach. "We create a safe space for everyone - and together, we turn the city into our playground. Sometimes, you just have to start to set things in motion."
Ahead of the Berlin marathon this Sunday, LOAD share their favourite run routes with us below.
