Johannesburg is South Africa's largest city, and a mecca for creative talent. The birth place of Kwaito and mecca for Amapiano producers, it's no surprise that Gqeberha-born singer Moonchild Sanelly moved to Jo'burg to flex her artistry.
Since releasing her debut album 'Rabulapha' in 2015, she's attracted global attention for her self-labelled brand of 'future ghetto funk'. From singing in her native Xhosa in Beyonce's ferocious 2019 anthem 'MY POWER', to teaming up with Little Simz on 2025's 'FLOOD', Moonchild Sanelly has steadfastly positioned herself as an artist with global appeal and unparalleled talent. Most recently, she's teamed up with Africa Express for their club banger 'Kuduro' ahead of the collective's forthcoming album Bahidorá.
